A long-awaited sequel

Blade Runner 2033: Labyrinth is an upcoming sci-fi adventure game and is the first in-house production of its developer, Annapurna Interactive. This single-player comes 25 years after the first adaptation in 1997, which was a point-and-click adventure at the time. It’s set between the original 1982 film and the more recent Blade Runner 2049 movie.

Not much information to work with

The trailer that Annapurna Interactive released for Blade Runner 2033: Labyrinth provides very little information about the upcoming installment. Aside from taking place in the same universe as its predecessors, the only new content that players and fans can work with right now is the unnamed character narrating the trailer.

This mystery character is believed to be a former member of the LAPD’s Blade Runner unit who lost his job following the Black Out before getting called back by the agency. He is then seen manipulating a cylindrical device and creating artificial memories, like what the character of Dr. Ana Stelline did in BR2049.

Keep an eye on updates

Blade Runner fans are in for a treat as Annapurna Interactive works on Blade Runner 2033: Labyrinth. Players and enthusiasts will transport back to the post-dystopian cyberpunk world and will likely feel the rush of being a Blade Runner again in this new franchise. However, they must keep their eyes open as there are a lot of information that needs to be released.
